AFC Damerham 2025/26 Season Recap

Another season of progress for the Daggers

The 2025/26 season has come to an end, and we can look back on another competitive campaign for AFC Damerham in Dorset Football League Division 5.

Across our 18 league fixtures, we recorded 8 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats, collecting 29 points and finishing 5th in the division. We scored 43 goals throughout the campaign while conceding 29, giving us an impressive +14 goal difference.

It was a season that brought plenty of memorable moments, with some excellent performances, plenty of goals and a number of hard-fought encounters along the way.

A strong finish

We finished the season particularly strongly, winning four of our final five league matches and building some excellent momentum heading into the summer.

One of the standout results came against Bournemouth Electric Development, where we produced an impressive 4–1 victory at home.

We then rounded off our league campaign with a dramatic 3–2 away win against Corfe Mullen United, ending the season on a high and securing our fifth-place finish.

Plenty of goals

Goals were certainly not in short supply throughout the campaign.

One of our biggest victories came in a fantastic 9–1 win over West Moors, while our 5–4 victory away at Ridgeway Reserves was another memorable afternoon.

We also produced some entertaining encounters, including a 4–4 draw with West Moors, highlighting the attacking football and determination that became a feature of our season.

Looking ahead

Finishing 5th in Division 5 with 29 points gives us plenty to build on.

There were undoubtedly games where we felt we could have taken more from the result, but there were also plenty of occasions where the team showed character, battled until the final whistle and produced some excellent football.

We now head into the summer with plenty of positives to take from the campaign and will be looking to use that experience to come back stronger for the 2026/27 season.
